atwater village farmers market
On our way to Atwater Village – not driving, don’t worry.
Anyone else love this tunnel?
For anyone that hasn’t quite made their way to Atwater Village – if you walk across the Glendale-Hyperion bridge you’re just a (longish) walk away from Griffith Park & Los Feliz.
The first thing we saw after parking was a WRDSMTH piece we hadn’t seen yet.
The Atwater Village Farmers Market is every Sunday – totally unassuming crowd, good mix of food & local produce.
Farmers’ Markets have a local vibe & flexibility that we really love – we’re always surprised by new things.
Post-honey stick negotiations. Now negotiating on succulents planted in recycled “containers” including a sea shell.
Vibrant colors, wooden combs & characters.
Street art spotted just off Glendale
yep, pretty sure social media is…
Full disclosure, we must like to be heavily caffeinated at all times –
We got a delicious pour-over coffee at the Farmers Market & then stopped at Proof Bakery for coffee (okay, we split a coffee) & a chocolate chip with melted chocolate bites.
Their baked goods are insanely good.
With coffee in hand, we popped into hidden gem, The Pottery Studio.
Run by locals, Jacqueline & Marshall, they offer classes & monthly memberships for potters.
If you keep walking down Glendale towards the bridge,
you can’t miss Red Car River Park.
If you have extra time, definitely walk along the L.A. River- let us know if you spot the chickens.
The apples were so good at the Atwater Village farmers market that after our L.A. river walk, we had to go back, buy more & relax for a bit.
No we didn’t get another coffee.
