Leimert Park Art Walk

If you’ve never explored (or for that matter, heard of) Leimert Park Village, hopefully you’ll now feel like you’ve been given the scoop on a cool, local secret.

Just off Crenshaw, across the street from the historic Vision Theatre is where you’ll find the Leimert Park Artwalk.  Although in recent years new art galleries have opened up, the art walk is still very much a local, word-of-mouth-type event.  You’ll find a mix of locally made products, crafts & artwork, along with definitely some music; live music, drummers or even a DJ. Bring your kids, walk around the small loop of vendors in the park, relax in the grass, get a fresh juice & explore their galleries.

You’ll enjoy easy parking & friendly people that can tell you all about the history of the neighborhood & it’s locals.

Totally old school L.A., which we love- have fun!

Since 2010 – when the neighborhood began this monthly event – the location itself (Leimert Park Village) has continued to grow steadily into what it is a today; a hip plaza & enclave of art that includes shops, galleries, & open-outdoor spaces.

Make sure to try the green (spirulina) popcorn… which is amazing- or step out of the village to see all the area art galleries which are only a short walking distance from the fair.

Don’t miss out – the Leimert Park Artwalk happens monthly on the last Sunday of each month – from 3pm to 8pm.
