Rondo the energy behind Coldwater Canyon, grew up in Ohio and Michigan helping his mom and grandma can and preserve foods every summer and fall. Using traditional Midwest recipes, Rondo began creating treats for family and friends – Apple Raisin Chutney, Red Pepper Relish, Bread and Butter Pickles. They loved them! Rondo entered the Los Angeles County Fair, winning First Place ribbons.
In 2010 Rondo’s Strawberry Rhubarb Jam won Best In Show for all jams and jellies at the California State Fair. Wow! It was time to “go pro” and Coldwater Canyon Provisions was born.
We use all fresh, pesticide-free produce from family farms that sell at Los Angeles farmers markets.
We craft small batches ourselves, all Kosher ingredients. We use a commercial kitchen which is regularly inspected by the Los Angeles County Department of Health.
Rondo trained for and received a Food Protection Manager Certification from the National Restaurant Association.
A portion of all profits go to groups that help alleviate hunger.
