I make wheel-thrown pottery. The work is inspired by the world we live in, including both the natural and the designed.
My color palette and shapes are influenced by my work in fashion and surface design. The pieces are developed as families — they can be organized into flexible groupings and complement one another. Functional pieces are intended to become part of daily life, but they are also designed as stand-alone objects to enhance and be seamlessly integrated in the environment.
My artistic vision is continually evolving within my practice and the framework of our world, but it always intended to reflect a simple, clean design aesthetic that is contemporary and hopefully timeless.
